FV107 Scimitar
Starting the Eduard PE set. Some bits are too fiddly and wont be used. But most are excellent.
The Headlight Frames were a little difficult to glue into the correct shape, due to 5 parts to shape. Thankfully the superglue is on the inside.
The Latches and Padlocks are great.
30mm Rarden fitted.
Scorpion miniatures Stowage Box really looks well.
Tamiya Spray Surface Primer applied.
Bluetack and Tape
Matt Coat Down. Tamiya NATO Green & Black.
Gloss Coat added.
Nice and Shinny with Decals.
The kit decals are not the best. I used Accurate armour 2 piece Union Flags.
I've dry fitted Accurate Armours Warrior Crew with Infantry Helmets. They require some height added to fit right. But they look a great set.
Just about finished. Shackles, Ropes and Crew to be done.
The two bad boys together. FV107 & FV101

Would love to Olivier. Just started a Warrior, but itching to get at another FV432. I have a conversion kit to show as a MK1.

Hi David, I used Master club's tracks again as I did on the Scorpion. I haven't posted any photos with the Scimitar. But I like them, a little fiddly sometimes. They claim no glue required but I found lots of the little pins kept falling out. A little tip of superglue on the pin after sorted it and didn't stop them from been workable. I didn't like the rubber band tracks. I did paint and try and fit them on the Scorpion but they wouldn't stay closed so I binned them and purchased the Master Club ones. I like them and have used them on 2 FV432's also. I have another set for a 3rd FV432 i'm going to build. Who's CVR/T crew are you using? I've found it very hard to find 1/35 figures representing British Army from 1970/80's So i'm interested to see your crew.

The crew I will be using is AA CVR/T designed for the scimitar/scorpion.Agree about the rubber tracks,if I remember correctly I stapled the tracks on the inner side and super glued the outer.Still not sure about the build or which mods on the vehicle but it will be green and black(my preference).Yours is looking brill.Which etch are you using.I have also purchased AA Kinetic rope and stowage bins.

Hi David, I used the Eduard set for Scimitar. Yes I checked the AA website and seen the CVR/T set. They are too up to date for what I'm looking for. But I will get a set. I'm going to use Scorpion Miniatures Synthetic ropes and their Clansman Antenna set. That's their stowage bin on the back also. I have grand designs on a large diorama from around 1974-75 based in Sennelager, Germany with a few 432's Scorpion, Scimitar and maybe a Land Rover and a few figures. My dad was in the BA and I grew up as an army brat while we were BAOR. My dad is still alive and would love to have it done before he goes. I have brilliant memories from Celle & Hemer in Germany and Catterick & Warminster from my childhood.

David, My dad had just left the army prior to the Falklands. We moved to Ireland were my parents were from. That was my 1st time in Ireland. Was still in love with Germany and have gone back on holidays dozens of times. A trait that now my own daughters has taken up also LOL ! There are some good figures available from Black Dog Models from the Falklands conflict, have you seen them?
