SPAD S.A.2

I remember following a build of this kit a couple of years ago, so I know what a challenging kit it is. The result you've achieved is miraculous!
I'm building this kit right now. I see you made a great deal of research and scratch building in this project. Looks amazing. I'd like to ask, if you know, about the engine's cowling: was it originally metal or wood?
I enjoyed this greatly also. Your skill/ability is obvious to someone like me. Amazing album 👍
Awesome! Another one that is waiting in my stash till I become confident with my skills...

"A-Model" logo - that says it all. Only the fuselage and wings can be used from the kit. Well, how "to be used"? With sandpaper, of course.
But in a scale of 1/72, this kit has practically no alternative, and it is also relatively adequate from the point of view of geometry. It is quite possible to assemble SA.2 from this kit (but not SA.4, although the instructions says the opposite) especially if you know in advance where the fails will come out.
For those who are not informed: before the invention of synchronizers, this design, with a cradle of the gunner in front of the prop, seemed to be a good solution of installing a front machine gun. Honestly, those who had to fly on this miracle of design were far from enthusiastic about idea: it was too like to seat upon the meat grinder. Probably, therefore, in the French Air Force, these machines began to be written off within a few months (fortunately, the production of the fighters with synchronized machine guns were started to the moment), but in Russia they fought to the end of the Civil War (1920).
