Thank you. It was supposed to be a quick build but it's getting more & more interesting to build every detail I add.

Judging from your older projects, your apprehension is unfounded.

Thanks Villier, this one will a one shoot deal since I'm going to apply the line at the very end of the process. I'll make sure I warm up on a test sheet for a good 5min before I go.
Cockpit is now assembled and the fuselage is being glued.

I realized that the rear of the machine gun weren't included in the cockpit. I built some using styrene bits.
Now it's only missing an head rest to complete the interior.

Thanks Villiers de Vos. I have apply my the metallic paint yesterday, and realized I will need another pass to have a nice result.
I didn't add enough paint to finish the job, and the paint was creating a sandy texture on the model. After finishing what was left of my Aluminum paint, I didn't allow enough time for the lacquer paint to dry and made a lot of finger marks manipulating the model.
Finally I applies the clear hoping to protect my paintjob, but it seem the blend with the "not dry enough" lacquer coating. It made the area were the aluminum paint was thin, darker.
Welll I have learned a lot about painting metallic finish, which was a bit the point of his model since it was very cheap. I sure a bit of light sanding on some area and an extra coat of Aluminum paint will fix the the texture.

The metal finish came out very nice. To my eyes, there are no imperfections on the fuselage.

Yes Viller de Vos, the second coat really made it smooth. I did send sand tfirts coat with a 2000 grit sandpaper.
The decals were surprisingly workable for a kit that old. They would end up breaking up after being move a lot. But having a few chip missing, will look like the wear and tear of the airplane.
Now, I'm thinking of applying a bit of mat varnish using my airbrush stencil to create some areas where the aluminum will look worn and oxidized.

Thank Daniel, do you think that adding some mat varnish with the stencil could create an effect similar to the finish on this picture? I just want some area to look rough.

This project was finish a few weeks ago, but I was waiting until my schedule and the weather to allow to do an exterior photoshoot.

Thank you Guy, Daniel & Akira.
I really enjoy the ARII's kits. Although the interior are sparse, the exterior are well detail and it usually come with a basic engine. For the rest there is styrene 😉.
