Fantastic color variation. Please give us some details on your techniques. I am sure, I am not the only one interested.

Think I need to do a video on my weathering. It takes a while. The basis is overall old rust layer followed by a couple of layers of heavy chipping (Mig) then an overall green followed by green variations. Once dry, take a wet brush to selected areas to reveal the rust. From then on it's lots of washes and pin washes. Then I oil painted different shades of blues, greens etc ( very subtle) then bits of rust streaking, grime etc. basically just build it up a tiny bit at a time. Then I added a dust wash in places. One trick is to speckle thinners with a brush between layers which makes it look like a rain has settled on the dust and dried. Then more pin lining, washes and picking out detail. This will sound random but try not to think about it too much. Nature is harsh and RANDOM!!

Thanks a lot for your explanation, Stu! And: you humbly called it "random", I´d call it creative genius.

Outstanding. One of the most convincing paint jobs I have seen so far.
