I wish I could take the credit, but they take me ages too, so I upload photos of completed models too, as well as ones in progress. Hey, and I don't kit bash nearly as much as you 😉

Thanks Edgars thanks Guy,
a lot of patience and concentration,
at the end of last year I had lost motivation a bit but now I'm back with the figures to take a break with Willys,
i hope to finish the project not in biblical times!

Hi,
i finally put my hands back on the figures, took the wounded marine again, remodeled the bandage and hair with Tamiya single-component putty sealed with cyanoacrylate, thinned the hands again and rebuilt some fingers, they were still too big, remodeled the pants and gaiters with Green Stuff, it's the first once i use it, it's fabulous, i had always used Milliput, unlike this one it has to be worked immediately because, i didn't know, once it hardens it remains slightly rubbery and is no longer easily workable and tends to lose its combination with the plastic, i also had to seal this with cyanoacrylate, again with the Green Stuff i had to flatten the whole back of the figure to place it well on the stretcher, this is a resin article from Accurate Armour of the British army, rather coarse, i had to thin a lot, rebuild the handles and feet. The marine is now ready for painting but today i had a job interview with my former employer, he rehires me due to the company's need, they are left without sellers, it's good news because maybe i can finally reach retirement but unfortunately it means having to abandon this wonderful hobby of ours again!

Reprimed with Tamiya XF22 RLM Gray airbrushed but came out strangely shiny, then for the first time I used Ak Gen 3, brushed on it's a whole different thing compared to Tamiya acrylics, water is used instead of isopropyl thinner , the first coat remained a bit glossy but I hope the second one is nice opaque, I tried the Field Gray Base#1(Green Uniform) to change a little green tone but in my opinion compared to the doctor painted with various shades of Tamiya RLM Gray is less faithful to the original color of the USMC uniform.

Hi Jennifer,
and yes my madness of modifying old models and figures takes a lot of time, now I had to park our wonderful hobby again,
unfortunately or fortunately I've started working again and maybe I can make it to retirement!😅

Thanks Tini,
too kind,
congratulations for your BA-10,
in my stash I have one from Zvezda, much less detailed, I also found Eduard's photoetched BA-6 to improve it,
before I die maybe I'll be able to do it!😆

Thank you all very much for the kind words,
too kind,
unfortunately the project is parked again for now,
too busy at work,
i can't wait to get to retirement!
Anyway Scalemates has become a drug for me, fascinating projects constantly baked,
i can't get away from the site anymore!😅

I know what you mean about looking forward towards retirement! I still have a long way to go 🙁 Until then, I agree that Scalemates has a lot of fascinating projects - lots of inspiration for my current and future builds, especially from master modelers such as yourself!

Thank you so much Mike i'm flattered but I really don't think i consider myself a modeling master,
in my life i've only been able to do modeling in fits and starts,
i've always admired the work of other modelers, the skill, commitment and tenacity to bring finish their masterpieces

Lovely how you adjusted those figures. I'm gathering all my courage to try this in my latest project for the first time. I'm gonna try it with green stuff two components clay. What did you use?

Good morning Mathias, always congratulations for your work!
You used the right term, it takes courage and a lot of patience,
i use Milliput Fine White, you can work it both wet and dry,
when it dries it becomes as hard as plastic and you can sculpt and sand it as you wish,
lately i have also used Green Stuff, excellent for building various details such as sheets, sacks or bags but must only be worked when fresh, when it dries it remains elastic and is no longer workable, then it does not adhere perfectly to the plastic, I had to seal it with cyanoacrylate,
for small grouting it can be used the Tamiya White is also very good,
good job!
