Basic paint job before pin- wash and weathering.
I decide to use US dark green FS34102 instead of olive drab.
Patches are painted in black.

The casting structure is made of primer+ pigments and processed it with the stippling method by paint brush.

Great work with irregular steel rendering. What's the trick?
26 November 2022, 20:16
Simon Nagorsnik
@Bozo: Of course, is not complicated.
It's a mix of dry pigments and acrylic primer.
I dilute the paste to a suitable consistency and apply a layer with the brush.
Allow to dry briefly and process the surface with a brush using the stippling method.

When necessary repeat the process.

Obviously, that so easy. I say it's some art, especially at 1/72

Almost a pity to hide all the multimedia stuff under paint. But the paint job dissolves already any worries. Very nice. I think that your color choice looks very convincing due to scale effect and after the wash. I am anxious about the diorama.

Very convincing effects and result!!

Thx mates!
@Bozo: o yes, it was that easy 😄
I had less than an hour to work.
@Michael: In such cases you would always need two models- one with color and one without😂

The base will be simple, just a bit larger than the tank itself.

Although it's my second WWII tank in 1/72, I'm still proud of it, cuz I learnt much throughout the build.
I like your land surface especially, very creative!

I think one reason why we all do this here is the idea of improving our skills.
And I hope that we still have enough opportunities for this 😁

Good Morning from The Great White North!!! Outstanding build in any scale. Love how three elements draws the eye across the Sherman. The German helmet, the .50 ca and then the red cross on the medical box on the deck. Catch Ya, Logan

@Logan- Greetings back from sunny Austria 😁

A nice little kit but it also has a few disadvantages but if you are looking for quick fun, you should still be well served.
Here I also use the opportunity to reduce my inventory of conversion parts a bit;).

There are two options for the bogies included- a one-piece, simplified version and one to assemble.
I had no problems with the fitting accuracy of the parts and the alu barrel from Aber also fitted without any reworking.
The included rubber tracks look quite passable (for rubber tracks;))

Disadvantage: All lifting lugs are solid, the protective brackets for periscopes and lamps are missing and the screw connection on the hull front is not shown particularly accurately.

I also removed the rear side vents and added some from Dragon's M4.
The fit of the OKB tracks (S72130) wasn't quite as perfect and didn´t match 100% with the wheels of Calibre72 (72008) in width.
Although they fit together with the teeth of the drive wheel but this had to be widened.
I´ve also use the obligatory gun barrel from Aber (72L-32) and a .30 and .50 barrel each from Master (GM-72-001/ GM-72-002).
For a more detailed .50 Browning, I used a Armory set (AR AC7240).
To add or improve additional details, I used a PE set of Part (P72-121) and Hauler (HLH72028) and a cable set from Eureka XXL.

In order to attach the equipment and the sandbags (Black Dog T72085), I quickly removed all the underlying details.
Since the set is intended for the Dragon kit, I had to fill a few gaps around the sacks in the back.
I took the figure from CMK (F72114) and slightly modified it to fit.

Once again i cooperate with my friend Chan Li.
A project for international exchange ?
