Cockpit done (Monogram always did well in the pit)
Wing seams cleaned up with quite a bit of sanding and filling
The basic form takes shape
F-102A Ready for the first trip to the Paint Shop
Base coat of paint on The Deuce (as well as the Sister Project CF-101)
F-102A Bagged & Tagged for the yellow tail
Added the black tail stripes... but had a paint mask problem 🙁
Fixing the black paint bleed
Decided to mask and spray the large lettering (as clear decals have yellowed in the past)
A bit of a problem with the black paint spray 🙁
Managed to clean up the black paint issue a bit and add some weathering
Metal on
Leading edge metal
Decal application in progress... should have this one done before year end
Pretty much complete - See completed model at: flypastrush.com/post..nogram-f-102a-dagger

Looking good 👍 It's amazing how big the thing is. Lot of work as you know but it builds up nice. Doing the Hahn AB colors?

John, Yes the 496th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron (USAFE), Hahn AB Germany 1961-61 (with deployments to Wheelus AB, Ramstein AB Germany and New Camp Amsterdam, Netherlands) The yellow and black tail had me sold on this scheme - Cheers
