On the last friday, i started this Kit. Its quite fun so far! I'm still scared about painting the figures but i will tackle that... The fit is ok but requires a lot of dryfitting. Pix will follow soon!🙂

Absolutle right! I love this scene too. Fortunately i have an 1:35 nd scale MRC Huey in my stash. Aditional to that the Big Ed package and some figures from Dragon- What do you think about a Joint Venture? As fär as I know there was never a Group built on Scalemates.

Either is good as far as hueys go.. there is also the other offering in 1:35.. i cant remember the maker off the top of my head. its in my stash....

Hmmm, I'm not so much in time-pressure. I always have a good start, than it slows down... At least until end of September or even later would be my preference.

@ Augie: No there is no surf board included in this kit. I will make mine from a stretcher which was left from a Bell 47 kit in the same scale. No big deal to modify it.
Just another thing for discussion. What should be the theme of our group build ? If we name it " The vietnam Conflict" you can bring in everything in any scale from an Aircraft Carrier to a single Figure. The range is very wide.
If we call it "Charlie donT surf" the models should have been in the movie.
What do you think?

Christian, it just has to be Vietnam related and in 1:35scale. You can choose whatever you want as long as it Vietnamrelated🙂 Actually we have Huey´s, Boats, Guided missles, Trucks and Figures...

Hi Markus, the only restriction is the scale (1:35) and it must be Vietnam-War related.

Maybe we can put them together at the first scalemates-meeting in february?

@Holger: Why not create a project called Scalemates meeting? There you could put info, what's planned so far. You could also add photos of the scheduled location... and at the end there should be a photoalbum of the models started/created during the meeting. I think, Tim can live with that, since it is model- and Scalemates related, Can't you, Tim?😉
