Step 1: Everyone should know by now that this kit has only 6 treturn rollers D18/ 19 whilst needing 8. Yeah Dragon! So you check the reviews, which say no problem, use A13/ 14... Guess what- A13/ 14 look completely different than D18/ 19 after 5 seconds of looking at them- to remember I am no rivet counter, so when I say completely different, I mean completely different.
Luckily I also have Jagdpanzer IV L/70(V) (Dragon 6397, 1:35) in my stash, from which I can take another 2 pairs of D18/ 19.
So you know what you have to do, if you own this one- buy the unzimerited too.
Best wishes from your Dragon Sales team 😛

i started the unzimmerited kit but its on pause, i want to get the interior kit from Verlinden, i had thought about getting the zimmerited kit to convert to a Jagdpanzer IV L/48 besides the support rollers do you think this kit can be converted into a L/48

From the review of Frank V. De Sisto: "Possibly the best thing about this kit is the relative ease with which it can be back-dated to the L/48-armed version. For instance, some re-arrangement of the tool stowage and a new gun tube (as long as the modeler does not care about the interior) will do the trick. This will allow the modeler to create the version with 80mm glacis and superstructure front armor, complete with proper Zimmerit."

Hi H K,
have you probably got the link to Frank V. De Sisto's review? I'd like to know more.
Thanks!

Hunter Cummins
HK its suppose to have 6 return rollers
Heres a quoted text from a history about the tank
"September, production was changed to the Pz. IV ausf. J hull, with three return rollers and twin exhaust stacks on the rear."

You are right Hunter, but the first ones- and this is one of them- , which were produced in August before the end of Zimmerit, had 8 return rollers.

As I wrote A13/ 14 look completely different. Btw. most of the later variants use the D18/ 19 return rollers, so be careful if you use them from Jagdpanzer IV L/70(V) (Dragon 6397, 1:35).
