Finished! Hobbyboss 1/48 SAAB J-29F Tunnan.
The J-29F was a Swedish jet fighter of the postwar period, a contemporary to aircraft such as the Soviet Lavochkin La-15 and Mikoyan MiG-15, as well as the American F-86 Sabre. Designed with input from German engineers, it had an unusual rather chubby shape, earning it the nickname "Flygande tunnan" (Flying Barrel). Despite this name being unpopular with the manufacturer, the shorted name "Tunnan" (simply meaning barrel) became adopted as the official name of the aircraft. Despite its unconventional and portly appearance, the aircraft had excellent performance, having a top speed of 1,060 km/h, with good maneuverability. The later F version of the Tunnan featured an after-burning engine, and could even equip early AAMs to compliment its onboard armament of 4x 20mm Hispano Mk. V cannons.
