Ford GT40 Mk II 1:12 scale Magnifire

My first build at 1:12 scale of the Magnifier Ford GT40 MK2 kit. Being a fairly new modeler, I found the build challenging at times but enjoyed it just the same. There were a few issues with the fit of the doors and the upper body to the chassis where there was about 1mm gap that had to be rectified. I believe others who have built this kit had similar issues. A lot of the pieces were chromed and had to be stripped and painted as the chroming was not in keeping with the real car. I added a few bits that were not in the kit, being the KA resin seats and spare wheel from Renaissance. i also used some Meng nuts on tie rod ends etc and some wiring on the motor to add a bit more realism. The colour scheme inside being blue was from pictures of the actual car I located. I also added toggle switches to the dash and some after market tyre decals from Indycals that had the blue stripe as per the original car. Some of the photos have not come out well due to lighting reflections however i will retake photos down the track and add these later on.
