Personal interest:
The F-111F was used extensively in Operation Desert Storm to deliver precision strikes with laser-guided bombs, due to its aircrews being well trained on the PAVE TACK navigation and targeting system. This carried on into Operation Northern Watch, but the F-111F had been retired and replaced by the F-15E before I arrived in Saudi Arabia for Operation Southern Watch.
