Ian Doody1/48 De Havilland Sea Vixen. A plane I've been in love with for years. Finally getting to build it. Definitely the last of the old style Airfix kits, and you can see in some places why this hasn't been re released, sink marks and thick attachment points, but I hope they do one day, as everyone should have one. Built up and painted up the cockpit today, I'll make some home made seatbelts tomorrow to spruce it up a bit. So far, enjoying it immensely.

Watching with great interest. I have the Rothmans and Canadian Reds kits in my stash, too. I built the kit many years ago, and remember that the decals aren't opaque enough.
I remember as a kid, seeing the Canadians Reds (and later known as the Rayban Reds)at a couple Airshows in my home province of Alberta.

Peter MollenhauerThe decades-old decals are doing surprisingly well! They need an awful long time to soak and even then won't get off from the paper on their own, but otherwise they don't mind being pulled off by tweezer! Lucky me! 🙂
