Thank you. That was done freehand at the time. Unfortunately I have lost that skill, but I hope to relearn it. 🙂

Ha, i was 9 years old and had my first model to go, a Revell 1:72, P-47 Thunderbolt. But your model looks fine, Burkhard, nearby up-to-date!🙂

Yeah! The quality of the kits have become a tad better since I was 16 back in the day Burkhard started this one but I still like to build those old kits from time to time.

Bill, I was 10 years younger than you at the time. And no, it's not yet finished. I just dusted it off earlier this year and started decaling it. New ejection seat, photo-etch HUD, doors and antennas are next, and the aileron/tab actuators need to be scratch-built. Hope to finish this year, then on to the other dozen in 'progress' 🙂

Putting on decals, model is primed with Future where the decals go. Started this model 25 years ago when Euro I colors were not readily available. Hope the ones I mixed will last until the model is complete (so far, so good) 🙂
