Had no idea that they made a carrier borne Mosquito til I saw this project, lots of interesting and unique features to include here

@Rando - Thanks for your intrest, indeed it is a quite unique bird.
Derived from the Mosquito the Sea Mosquito was intended to be used aboard the Fleet Air Arm's aircraft carriers. During its time in service it would only be used by land based squadrons. Two variants of the de Havilland Sea Mosquito were built and only 67 was produced.

Seems quite a logical idea - staying afloat in case of ditching into the sea 😄

Very nice project. It turns out very well. 👍 Didn't know anything about Sea Mosquitos.

Thanks mates for your intrest and kind comments. The project is slowly moving forward. Waiting for some photo etch parts.

Thanks David & Rando for you comments. Much appreciated👍🏻
Paint job and a light weathering in progress. Need to crack on with the decals in next phase before getting the folded wings in place.

Somehow I missed this project before... And I have never heard about Sea Mossie up to now... Great job so far - keep it up!

Thanks BC NRA for your kind comments. Yes, the Sea Mosquito was a rare bird. Always fun to research & build the more odd versions.

Thanks Thomas for your kind comments.
Just realized going for the final photos that I missed the wind shield wiper for the front screen. Details, details…🙈😅

Very cool. Wish I could get that conversion set. The nose pimple is just a cherry on the cake 😄

Final pictures added. Project completed!
Fun build, pretty straightforward with the paragon conversion kit. Did some additional exterior detailing. Lesson learned - I should have gone with the Tamiya kit instead of Hasegawa. This due to Tam's better detail level both regarding interior and exterior. Now I had to compensate with additional resin and photo etch instead.
Going for some R&R now. Have a nice summer mates! 🏖️😎
