SK-37 Viggen
Commenti
That looks gorgeous. You should be very pleased. I keep meaning to start a viggen but the splinter camo both attracts me and yet scares me in equal proportions 😎

SK-37 Viggen
Finished the 1/48 Special Hobby SH48209 SK-37 Viggen kit.
An excellent kit with perfect fit and nice details. Although made some adjustments myself. Cut the fixed flaps and ailerons from the rear wing spar, and fitted them in a droop position (hydraulic power off). Also put the top T/R petal inside the exhaust in a droop position. The RAT is in a deployed and both ejection seats are deactivated with the disarm handle.
The most time consuming part was the painting of the splinter camouflage. Used the Special Mask set, although I first spoiled the DN Models one, hence flushing €20 through the drain. ?
Anyway starting again with masking paid off. Installing the main landing gear of a Viggen is always a nice puzzel. Added hydraulic lines, electrical cakes and bleedair ducting at the gears and wheel wells. Finally added the kit decals for the F7 Wing of the Swedish Air Force SK-37 training squadron based in 1999 at Östersund-Frösön.
It's not perfect, there is room for improvement, but I'm quite happy with the result.
