Chilean Hunter
First step was to remove the front fuselage
The original dorsal spine was removed too
Here what you have to remove before to fit the PJ resin parts
Dry fit to show the PJ resin parts for the conversion
The rear fuselage section was glued whit no modifications
The resin cockpit is nice. First I glued the main part on the right side. The front wheel well was separated from it.
Once the cockpit main part is in place I could place the front wheel well independebtly to find a good fit.
So here the new front fuselage is glued to the rear section.
The new spine is in place.
The original wings were placed too.
Some Mr. surfacer was used to fill the gaps.
On the belly the fit was good too.
Scratching the F.O.D. covers.
The brengun ladder is great !
Here the ladder built and the F.O.D. cover parts ready to be painted red.
Dry fit with the ladder.
Part of the flap was removed because of the drop fuel tank under the wings.
PJ canopy was cut to be glued in an open position.
Dry fit with the ejection seats.
Moulding a new instrument panel cover.
New instrument cover dry fit.

Any pictures of the completed model? The Revell kits depicting the Hunter are great and I'd love to see this one.

very nice, with a lot of attention to the details... for the dials, did you spray though the drilled out openings and did you then make/scratch the details with a knife? And for the canopy, do you cut it, or push the shaving knife through the vacform cocpit...

Thanks guys ! Bart, for the dials, once they were painted black trought the opennings I just used a needle to represent the details. You can also paint using other colors if you want. Don't forget a gloss varnish layer on the dials before to place the perforated layer. For the canopy I used a GILETTE blade to cut it guided by tamiya tape placed at the join. Cheers.
