Thanks for following Hanno. but this project is on hold. Any idea how i can make the wings of B-29 removable? So i can store it easily?

I can see your point, I would'nt even have the space to display a B 29. Could'nt you bore holes into the leading edge of both wings and the wingspars visible, so that you could use a brass or steel wire rod to lock the wings into position ? Just an Idea .......

Maybe some of those small but very strong Neodymium magnets embedded into the mating surface of the fuselage and the wing would draw the wing to the fuselage? If the wing spar is a tight enough fit into the wing? I plan on using some to hold a Bell X-1 under my B-29 Mothership!

Initially I thought of the other direction, but yes, as the wingspars seem to go very loose into the wing, I would do it like you showed in pic no.10

You might get the magnets on Ebay. I've brought packs of them at those cheap $2 shops we have in australia. 8 small 6mm magents for about $2.80 I think if you use 2 metal wing spars plus the magnets they would hold it together quite well, as long as it is a tight fit and doesn't sag.

🙂 thanks i will try with two metal wing spars first and then if they go lose, i will try adding the magnets. Hi Roberto thanks for tuning in.
