That glorious feeling when you start a new, nice kit. And that shark mouth looks so cool ????

Hmm, quite complicated innards for such a little plane. But parts fit with ease.

There really is lot inside work to build in this one. Kit gives good bang for a buck if you like detailed cockpits and motors.
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/3/0/8/241308-23624-98-720.jpg)
Building procedure is little bit unusual. Cockpit is about half-made and next step is attaching it to wings and to another side of fuselage. Motor next...

Busy looking Shvetsov ASh-82 is ready to Rock...or buried under motor hood so that nobody sees it anymore. So no need to work those seams in motor block halves....Motor was a nice build.

Test fitting motor to the cradle, seems OK.

After long "rest" I have continued building, ready for base coat. Plastic pitot tube replaced with brass tube.

Basecoat painted with alclad primer and aluminium. Little bit pre-shading and base effects.

Almost ready for decals, i just figured out that i must paint black that base of the "sharks mouth" decal

Smiling like a commissar.... Sharkmouth needs time and decal softener but looks impressive 🙂

There is 5 marking options in kit and I think to go for that scheme in box art. Guards Major Georgi D. Kostylev, 4th GIAP,Leningrad summer 1944. Grey with shark mouth nose 8-) ,white fin and light blue bottom color. Interior and motor really are very detailed in this kit. The basic Zvezda kit is nice & good and eduard has added more cool stuff. Looking good so far.

Sorry about close images, my old iPhone is still going strong but taking close pics is not it's forte. Had to rig better camera to close shots...
