Very nice Michael!👍
That model would deserve better pictures with more light and clearness.😉

Thanks Ulf! I totally agree with you on the pics, I just have been taking random pics in my office at work, so not the best lighting, and using my cell phone doesn't help. I keep telling myself I will get a better set-up to take pics, but I still haven't done it. Once my modeling skills improve a bit I will invest some time and money in that aspect.
I do intentionally take some fuzzyish pics of my in-flight models to give them a bit of a realistic flying look. I do this be zooming way in on my cell camera and taking the pics from further away. I know it make the model look a bit fuzzy, but it does look more like an actual pic of the plane in the air. 🙂

Thanks Roland! Yes, I made the stand myself, it is pretty easy to do too.
The wood base is actually from an online place called Trophykits.com. Size is 6" x 8". I actually bought a case of 40 since I plan to build so many in-flight builds. If you buy 40+ they are like $3.30 each, or if you buy less than 40 they are like $4.50 each. So big savings if you buy in bulk.
The display card is made in Adobe Illustrator to the size of a standard baseball card. It is encased in a baseball card holder and placed on the base using double sided tape.
The wire that attaches the model to the base is actually 1/16" (10ga) armature wire. It is really nice stuff to work with. Strong enough to hold up even a 1/48 Flanker and a 1/48 Intruder. Those are big planes! It is also malleable into any position you want, so you can keep changing the display angle to keep it fresh, etc. You can get a 20' roll of the stuff for less than 10 bucks. Considering I used like 6" for each model, that 20' will go a long way!
The wire is attached to the model using a 10-12ga ring terminal. Got like 50 of them from ebay for like 10 bucks. I just drill a small hole in the model, then use a self tapping wood screw through the ring terminal hole into the model to attach it. I have considered gluing a nut inside the model and using a bolt to attach through the ring terminal, but I always forget to do that before I glue the fuselage together. LOL
I hope this helps, if you have any questions feel free to ask!
