Dry fit the wing tops. Slightly misalines between wing and engine but nothing I can't correct.

Tight fit between the fuel tank and the cannon. Definitely can't fit the top fin of the 3. Though looking at pics online they show that most tanks had 4 fins. Going to add 2 fins with sheet plastic and a bit of plastic as a spacer to leave a bigger gap.

Like how the airbrakes fit into the canon pod. Going to build the breaks open I think. Though don't think it's how the aircraft would be left in real life.

nice start so far, will you add the ton of corrections to this one, or will you keep it out of the box? I've thought this one had raised detail, will you rescribe the plane?

Only just restarted model making (only 2 completed so far). Have another old Harrier GR3 & BAC 1-11 models I'm experimenting on with scribing (must say find it difficult to scribe in straight lines) and making adjustments too.
For now going to do this mostly out of the box but with minor corrections.
Will get another in the future and improve on this and make it more authentic once I've gained confidence in my skill levels.

I love the Viggen, I did the ESCI one ages ago (yours looks a lot better already), and I am looking forward doing it again one of this days😉

There's a lot of resin bits and other after market things to do. Again will try those when I do it again. (Will want to do the other Saabs 1st though).

See what you mean about corrections. Getting the fuel tank on an and looking correct will be fun (isn't even on the instructions which is weird). Annoyingly noticed that you have 6 pylons and only 2 sparrows and 2 sidewinders for the interceptor I'll have to find 2 more. Sadly the ones in my Harrier box are a different size?? Old Airfix for you not very consistent.

Pretty much getting there now. Ordered some replacement side winders to go on it. Now wondering if I should also ket replacement sparrows as they are so detailed in comparison.

Missiles are getting there. Decided to go green like some of the photo's I've seen of this aircraft. Look more interesting than the classic white & grey. Just need to create some runners for the front pilons as they are missing them.

My favourite aircraft is now pretty much finnished. Just some replacement missiles I ordered to add then will be done. I like it. Not the easiest kit as fairly old. Have done a few minor mods but nothing drastic.
