That is a great figure the detail painting of the folds in his clothing are most impressive. I was thinking the same thing of a glowing lightsaber using a fiberoptic thread linked to a blue LED in the base

Fibreoptic is a nice idea. But the figure is made of tinn. It would have to be drilled some holes through the whole figure and the light saber shaft.

@ Christian: For the coat I used oil colors because I had a variety of coresponding shades in my stash and blending is easier. The rest was painted with acrylics ( Andrea flesh color set), Vallejo. For the light sabre I used Alclad Aluminum and Tamiya transparent blue acrylic.

another way to illuminate the saber might be to make the beam from a piece of clear sprue and use a laser pen pointing down the length of it 🙂
