Shortening the tailboom. Decided not to correct the depth of the boom.
Replacing main rotor blades with Revell UH-1D blades. These are too thick but have correct length.

Fuselage assembly in progress. Filling gap in tailboom joint.
Pre-shading in progress.
Base color on, masking in progress.

Just completed my Italeri UH-1F in the markings of the 20th SOS. Italeri's short body UH-1 kits are nice, but have some shape issues. The F tailboom shape is too slim, and slightly too long, rotor diameter is too small (40 ft), should be 48 ft for the F. Replaced it with the rotor from a Revell/Hasegawa UH-1D kit. Added detail to the cabin and cargo hook below belly. Nice build, but as always with several minor problems and glitches.
