Nice and clean build. How is the kit?

The kit is fine, nice lines, good fit. On purpose I put on an extra ammount of clue, in the hope it will look a bit like weldlines. I also painted the gun thingy with Mr surfacer to look like welding marks. Looking forward to the painting.
I'm dreading the tracks, that are a whole lot a pieces....

I try to be. Up till now mostly WWI and WWII planes. I'm progressing to the more modern planes, just made it to the 50's 🙂
This is my very first tank ever. I've done a lot of ships, some 25 years ago. Got some in my stash though. Also in my stash are 3 locomotives, which I've never done before.
In the previous century I had some bad experiences with trucks. I'm tempted to try it once more, but first I'll have to empty the stash a bit.

Okay, resurrected this one. Has been far too long. Of course one of the tiny single links went AWOL and was snatched by the carpet monster. Now I need to think of something. Leaning towards a broken track or something.

I can look tomorrow into my stash if i have some leftover parts from my StuG/Panzer IV builds i did years ago.

Thanks Ingo, but I just glued the remaining tracks to represent the Stug having lost a shoe.

Martin? Building something that doesn't fly? Is this the 'real' Martin? Hell hath frozen over!! I will have to buy a lotto ticket! Clearly this is my lucky day!

Yep, been asleep. Working too hard, you know, usual excuses!

I bought a circle cutter just so I could mask the wheels. Sadly enough a 1cm radius isn't the same as a 1cm diameter. So I have masked the wheels with poster buddy.

Sweet build Martin. Have this one in my stash also (I guess I also fall within the "Allrounder" category...). Following 👍

Head in hands! I'd like to solve your problems Marty but I have to go work.

Thanks for the tip James. Will do next time.
Alec, it's a nice little tank and goes together with zero problems. Only the tracks are a bit of work. This is my first tank ever and I think I want metal tracks in the future.

But now, the infamous grass has returned. Started on a tiny base for this cutie. Drowned the too green and uniform grass in pigments. Hope that helps.

Metal tracks bring their own problems Marty, especially little tiny itsy bitsy ones. They do look heaps better though!

Perhaps I have to go off-scale and get myself a 1:35 monster 😉
19 April 2018, 20:58
Peter Hardy
Yep, I reckon so! Don't do the KT though, those tracks are almost impossible to put together without bending the little tiny linking parts. And use staples, not the wires they give you.

(Insert Yoda accent) 1:35 is the path to the dark side. Jedi's strength flows from the one true scale...

Noooooooooooo... stay back!

It's too late to save him now! The Force is weak within him, but with the Dark Side he will grow strong, and armour will form and flow at his every command. Even Fruil tracks will bend to his every whim. Come to us young Martin, be one of us. Reject 1/32 forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shouldn't you be at work Greg???

Aaaaand she's done. You can admire her over here StuG 40 Finished | Album by Mahoo76 (1:72)

I'm tempted by the dark side 😛

Can anybody explain this one-true-scale expression to me? One would think they mean 1:1 😉

very nice job Martin. you are building really fast for somebody who complain that can only work at the bench very sporadically😉
fast and good quality 🙂
