This Sptifire is meant to hang from the ceiling in the Bishops Lydeard Mill museum, so not much inner detail will be visible

Finally finished the model. This year we finally have the opportunity to go to England with our caravan, so it was time to finish the Spit
I even painted the pilot, which isn't my favourite part, but it is going to end up hanging from the ceiling and a flying plane needs a pilot.
I really learned lot the last 40 odd years. Compare the two Spits!
This kit was my first 1/24 model, a present from my then girlfriend, now my wife for almost 42 years. She did the pilot and the cockpit, I did the engine and the structure. All handpainted!

Patrick HagelsteinDid you cut out the kit's instructions to mask off the brown? I was wondering about the roundels and letters.

Wouter RoerdinkI took the paint-instructions and enlarged them on my pc and used them as a mask. I marked the edges with blue tac. I discovered this method when I was building a Lancaster and I was really satisfied with it. You have to cut the pieces a bit smaller to enable the use of Blue tac.

Gordon SørensenI always remember it by Port and Left both have four letters, and Green and Right both have five. Have to extrapolate for the others....
