beautiful flanker. flory wash is water base for what i see in their website. Did you use acrylic paint?. does the wash did not react with the paint? i have not yet used water based washes yet, and i am worried that they react with the acrylic paints i usually used

I've used flory washes over unsealed acrylic bases without a problem. Just make sure the base coat is fully cured off and not just touch dry.

thanks a lot pod1610 🙂 I wonder if washes from Vallejo also work on acrylics, i can get those easily. so far i always have used product with different base for washes. oils or enamels over acrylic for example. but i had some trouble with some whitespirit killing the plastic..... so i am willing to try something less aggressive

The Flory models ones are also clay based and can be re-worked if you don't like the result simply by wetting them up again. You can also removed then using a clean moist brush to soften them up and then wick it out. Can be a bit fiddly and might require a few attempts but do-able.

so there is not paint there, ok thanks. the chance of re-working is interesting. once done, cover with clear gloss/matt and you are done... very intersting

Just for the record, I used AKAH/AKAN water based paint thinned down using Tamiya Lacquer thinner. Once cured, I apply tamiya CLEAR over the whole model. Only then I used the Flory wash.
