The cockpit, as the entire kit is very basic. The detail on the instrument panels ranges from good to bad. Since you can't see much of the cockpit when the model is finished and i got the kit to train natural metal finish, i decided to keep it oob.

Welcome aboard gentlemen! If someone is an expert on Destroyers, maybe you could have a look at the decal versions of this kit and tell me if the assignment of BB-543 to the 19th TRS/10th TRW is correct. I am in doubt because of the confusing and contradicting manual and box information.

Welcome aboard Cuajete! Started to fill gaps with putty and not done yet. The plastic of the kit is very hard and brittle, while the fit is what you would expect from a form of this age. They changed some parts for the rb-66 version, which is sadly visible on the undersides, where the bomb bays are on the b-66 and on the tail. Panel lines are engraved but pretty "washed out". Will have alot of work ahead of me, since i want a perfect surface for the gloss black primer. I plan to build it in flight and already got a small stand for it. Reason beeing the basic wheel bays and me not having a single plane in flight mode on the shelf. 🙂

Decals are on and this project is probably finished soon. What can i say? I think it will turn out a beautiful and colorful plane on the shelf. However you can't come too close to it or you will see the horrible lack of details. And you shouldn't research too much about this plane. Or you will notice the decals in the wrong sizes and places. Sadly there are even decals missing that are mentioned in the manual. And there are instructions missing for some decal versions as i have written before. So unless you need to have an rb-66 don't get this kit. Even for it's price.😉

Done. Hard to see on the pictures, but there is a small black plastic stand under the plane that holds it in the air.

Nice job! That kit is a pain in the ass, but its the only one. Good luck with the pitot. I have gone through 2 and it sits without one now. LOL

Thanks alot Clifford and Konrad. Something positive i have to say about this kit is the superb quality of the decals. Didn't need to apply softener, because they are so thin that they lay themselves into the panel lines. And the nmf schemes are really outstanding.

Gruss

Yep, fantastic job! I may have to redo this kit as mine took a bit of an ass kicking when I moved. Only model that got really messed up.
