Nice cabinet, I had exactly the same idea about adding extra shelves to my glass cabinet which is almost identical to yours. I had a look at their website and all there stores are way to south of me. Their single glass cabinet is nearly exact as the one I got from Fantastic Furniture for the same price, but their double on which you have is something like a $150 cheaper than Fantastic Furniture's option. I need to get some angle and glass glue from Bunnings then go to my local glass supplier for some extra glass shelves.

I just noticed looking at your 1/48 Cat with the engine on the trolley, did you scratch build the trolley or is it in kit form. I ask because I scratch built something very similar a few years ago.

Nice job on the scratch built trolley Michael! The ones I have came in the kit - it's a 1/72 KA Models kit I picked up from BNA Models for $25 - quite an impressive kit, complete with photo etched parts and all.

I will get around to posting up some photos of that build one day.

Building the 1/32 Tomcat over the new year time was running out to find a suitable option to display it all in! I happened to go into Cheap as Chips (local chain store selling mostly Chinese cheap cr@p) and spotted some glass cabinets which I measured up and checked to see if the newly build Tomcat would fit - ended up being a perfect fit!

The cabinet only had 3 shelves (4 including the floor) and the gap between shelves was quite large so starting looking into ways I could add more shelves. I ordered an extra 5 panes of glass cut to size from a local glazier and settled on using 45° aluminium LED corner rail/mounts glued to each side of the cabinet with Liquid Nails glass glue. I tested the setup before hand with some scrap glass and aluminium to test it's strength - I left it for 4 weeks with a 10kg weight load on the join a
