Thanks Erik! It just looks like it. I started this kit ages ago by assembling the cockpit and interior and then decided to buy a set of masking for it. Back then i didn't really know how to mask complicated cockpits like that well. Recently decided to take it out again, which i don't regret. The kit is fun, assembly easy and fit is very good. There are kits with better details on the inside, but you don't really see it anyhow after assembly. The machine guns in the kit are quite bad however. So it's a 9/10 for the price it has been sold some time ago (12€).

Cool, but I'm also curious how this violet preshading will turn out in the end

Thanks, same for me. It's the first time i use a color like this for preshading. However the green tones are pretty near to violet/olive and i didn't want to use black. I hope the preshading will turn out a bit more subtle then black and will add to the color variance.

Hm, i do not see a significant shade on the left wing? Perhaps the camera swallows the effect?

Hey Daniel, i think the camera of my smartphone and the light in my cellar swallows the effect. It's very subtle, which is what i was going for. I will try to get some better pics soon.

Finished the olive grey yesterday and tried to capture the preshading effect a bit better on the photographs. Next step is masking the camouflage pattern.

The violet preshading turned out very well, wondering what you prepare for the undersides then...

Thank you Lukasz! I did the undersides with thinned violet and dark sea grey as well as medium grey. then i applied some thinned gloss black coats.
Uploaded some pictures of the underside, which also show the wheel bays in rlm02. I also painted the exhausts in rust as a base for pigments. Next step are the resin mgs, a little correction on the splinter camouflage and then a coat of varnish before i put on the decals. Can't wait! 🙂
