So I painted this with vallejo gloss black, followed by vallejo aluminum. I then used some tamiya panel line marker, had never used it before. I let it dry and tried to wipe off the excess later with some enamel thinner. Well, disaster struck, and it removed the paint. I had to strip the model and start over 🙁
Did not expect enamel thinner to remove acrylic. Friend suggested spraying with clear laquer befor applying panel line thinner. Would Future work as well? I ask because I have future in my garage, and do not have clear laquer spray paint.

Added some rigging to the tailfeathers on this one last night. First time ever! I used ez-line, one observation is it's not round, actually slightly flat, so I should make more of an effort to ensure it does not twist when installed. Pretty neat stuff. I'm improving my skills with ultra thin super glue as well. I do still have a bit of trouble trying to get the right amount in the right place. It seems a toothpick is not ideal for this.

Thanks - this is my first time doing several things - including rigging, more than one shade of aluminum, etc.
Per a friend's advice, I cut the eye off a needle, and chucked it in a pin vise to make a thin CA applicator. Changed my life, I can finally get the glue to go where I want it to without blobs all over! So much better than a toothpick.
I ordered a glue looper, but some snafu at amazon, they decided it should be returned, possibly due to blizzard at my location on my amazon delivery day, so I'll just make my own out of sewing needles.

Little red warning placard on either side doesn't come with the Testors decals. I stole some from a 1/72 AT-6 Texan decal set. I'll have to steal from somewhere else when I build the Texan 🙂

Exhaust pipes made out of brass tube. Took me a couple hours to make them. Overscale, but less so than the original parts.
