Album info
This 69 Camaro SS/RS was built in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on board the USS California around 1984-85. I was an ET (Electronics Technician) in the Navy, and built this on WestPac. I bought the kit from “The Model Shop” mail-order company. I ordered the Yenko stripes as well because they were different. Yenko Camaros had 427s and the kit came with a small block so I put a 427 Ford engine in it. I will correct that blasphemy when I get the inclination to restore it. All the details are hand painted. I had never heard of BMF. The front spoiler is actually and mid 60’s Corvette grille mounted backwards and bent a little.
