Thanks all for the comments. Treehugger - I agree with your comment about the grass. I hadn't thought of a display base until I was finishing the model and decided I HAD to make a grass display base for this. Thanks for the comments.

I hope mine looks half as good when I build it. What is your opinion about the decals? I have read some comments not very positive about them....

@Spanjaard - I would definitely recommend using aftermarket decals. The Tamiya kit decals are particularly thick. In fact, each color is a different thickness and it's very noticeable. I had trouble getting the decals to conform to panel lines etc. even with many applications of MicroSol and Solvaset. I ended up making the panel lines a little more bold than usual to break up the decal effect a bit.
