Polar Lights 1/144 Space Cruiser C-57D

The blue beam is an acrylic flower vase cut down to size & with the bottom cut out. The blue is a quick blast of Humbrol's blur glass etch, done from a distance. Could perhaps have done with a bit more distance. 

 

 

 

I think I've found my new reading lamp! 

I was suprised that the blue colour of the force field was copletely lost in these shots. 

You can't really see that this does light the room up quite well. Not bas for six small LED's and a layer of kitchen foil. 

 

 

 

 

It looks even better when you can see the engine rotating too. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Despite the fact that the ramps are designed to be openable,you have to be very careful as the mechanism is VERY fragile. Several parts broke during testing.
