No, i downloaded the drawings from the web. This was printed by a pro 3D printing company. This way the body was quite smooth. I would not advise printing this on a home printer. The result will be too rough. I worked for a company doing scale 1/4 models, so believe me, it's not what you would like to have. On this there was only one worry, filling and smoothening the seams..... And unfortunately some silvering on the decals. The test on the spoon was super, it turned out a bit wrong on the model. I think i will do a second one and hope the decals will come out a bit better.

That's really interesting! How much did a printing like that cost? (and currency) It's very cool.

At that moment i paid 175 euro....It was ordered through an intermediate. I now found a company myself that wants about 100 euro. But i don't know if the print will be as good....

I would expect a home printer might be worth it at the highest quality setting and some time with filler. I've got the Flashforge Creator on my wish list. I've also heard the Photosensitive resin printers produce very smooth prints

Although I'd avoid the 2018 cars with all their fiddly aero bits if I had to fill and sand everything.

You really wouldn't like to sand the front wing, too fragile..... Also the rear wing is very thin.... Even on my 1/4 scale LaFerrari and 1/8 Lotus C-01 the sanding was a hell of a job and very time consuming. Trust me, it would not work on this model. I am however, not familiar with a home based photosensitive resin printer.

My 3D printed 2018 Red Bull RB14 as driven by Max Verstappen is ready. Scale 1/20 of course like all my F1 cars. The decals came from Pattos. Not completely satisfied with them, but it is what it is. Full WIP on my website. Edit: Hans Robben advised me to use AK582 against the silvering. Works like a charm! Thnx Hans.
