I realised I end up chatting about some of the Odd acquisitions I make for challenging projects, on other Mate's build threads, and perhaps I should create my own thread to do this chatting rather than hijacking other peoples threads. (not intentionally I might add)
So here I have a thread for general discussion of future projects and plans. There is another reason, I get excited to plan and work out future builds, and want to post pics and start conversations, So i end up creating a new album for the build, and distract myself from the in-progress builds I already have going. Hopefully this will satisfy my desire to talk about these without pushing live projects aside.

Why does no manufacturer ever seem to produce the 50s & 60's flat roof style Chevys? They are always the Coupe Roofline. The Camino Impala needs to have a flat roofline. I've seen real ones done both ways and the flat roof definitely looks better. So Now i'm on the lookout for something in my stash that has a fairly close roof shape to take a mold from as the basis. So far I'm looking at either a 65 Chevy pickup, or 96 Ford Explorer.

Sounds like a plan. I recognise some of your Ebay
purchases, luckily we seem to have gone for different kits !
Got my ringside seat for your builds.

Looking at your stash, i think we competed on the scavenger, but i only put in a low bid. Envious of your van collection.

Got the Scavenger years ago For around £15 (I think). I'm always on the lookout for vans - it's a case of Constantly trawling the UK only listings nowadays As USA postage (& VAT) is too much

reallx good idea Chaz, to create such a thread for all ideas and "Building here and ther from time to time". Perhaps, i have to do that also for all Kind of stuff on the bench or in the boxes. Started, layed by side, to many other ideas hanging in the head, and so on.
The 58 Impala Project has defenitly my Attention 😄

Nigel, it appears that we haven't competed on Bids then, unless we've both lost that is. US postage is just silly, considering postage to the USA is half that from the UK. Having said that, kit prices are so much cheaper, sometimes it's worth it. I found one seller listing £17 shipping, but was the same price for two kits, and I managed to get two Revell kits that I need, that UK retail stocks have run out on.

Dominik, I hear ya, I need to buy a couple more Really Useful Boxes for the side projects, so I can get back to work on the bench. I also will use the thread for my experiments that will contribute to these projects, as I work out some techniques

So got myself a job lot of 9 kits off Ebay this week - Revell 68 Corvette Roadster, 69 Camaro Z28 RS (missing engine), AMT/ERTL 53 Studebaker Starliner, 69 Pontiac Firebird Tran Am, 69 Pontiac Firebird 400, 58 Chevy Impala (missing glass), Joker goon car (Dodge Monaco) missing glass)), Round 2 69 Cougar Eliminator and a Lindberg 61 Impala SS convertible for £70 !
Other than all parts being spray painted, nothing has been started. Unusually for me I do not have any future plans/projects for them, but I have a wealth of custom and option parts to use on other projects.
I think I will need to move house as I have run out of storage space!
