Cool clean Phantom in a really nice color-finish!
And quite a job on the intakes, but since it is well within visible range, the result really paid off - looking very realistic on the finished model 👍

Thank you, Slavo and Spanjaard! It's actually more weathered than the photos reveal. I haven't quite figured out how to get the lighting to show that detail correctly. I feel like this model and my F-14 are pretty dirty, but they don't look that way in my pictures.

Very nice Phantom Casey! I really love those markings, excellent choice. Sometimes pics either show a model to be much less or even much more weathered than in person. But either way, you have a very realistic finish on this one!

Many thanks, Michael. I have to admit that I was half-tempted to do this one up in VF-84 markings given my desire to do them all (and they flew the J model), but I was anxious to do some color for a change. I was tired of grey.
I'll have to keep playing with my lighting to see if I can find the magic combination. I'm also taking pictures on my phone. Think I might need to adjust the white balance. Or, just not care too much and get over it. I'd rather build than get carried away with photography.

Excellent Phantom! Love the marking choice as well. If you are happy with how it looks, then I say it's all good.

Thank you, Bryn and Neuling! And thats a great piece of wisdom, Bryn. I only need to impress myself, which is admittedly difficult for a perfectionist.

Album info
Resin and PE upgrades in the cockpit. Scratch-built intake trunks since the kit option lacked proper authenticity. Kit wasn't horrible, but did have join problems on the front half.
