German Alphajet A build
Some modifications added to main wheel Bay area.
Main landing gear bay enhancements.
Details completed but very few of these will be visible.
Cockpit tub modified with wire.
Lots of putty and sanding needed for these joints in the air intakes.
After filling, sanding and priming with Mr. Hobby surfacer 1000 joints are invisible.
Painted with white.
Air intakes are ready.
Almost one piece if I don’t count wings and tail stabilisers. 🙂
Almost all joints need filling and sanding. Especially air intake area.
Primer is done. Some minor sanding is required.
After sanding with 2400 grind clothe Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black applied.
After sanding with 4000 grind clothe marble effect done.

Lower part painted
with H308 gray.

Main scheme paint completed. H53 Neutral Gray and H64 Dark Green used. Some minor corrections needed.
Reference seats.
Front seat modified with wire and plastic pieces.
Head portion fabric created by tissue and diluted white glue. Overhead handels will be installed when the seats are in place.
Inlet lips black paint done.
I’m happy with the final look of the inlets.
I’m not so happy with nozzles. I’m planning some enhancements with oil paints.
Hahen decals are on. To be honest I’m not happy with them. Some of them are over scaled. For this time I don’t have motivation to replace it with correct one. Next is clear coat again.
Panel lines completed.

Exhausts are better with oil paints now.
Wheels are on.
Little, tiny and fragile probes and lower antenna glued. Must be super careful during this process.
Speed brakes installed as extended.

After a long halt on project finally fuel tanks are done.
Fuel tanks are on.
Overhead ejection handels are scratch build with wire.
Seats are in place.
