You're a natural Rob! You have a new fan here 😄
Plus, I'm very jealous of your kitchen..

Thanks for the compliment JD, much appreciated! We moved in 4 years ago, and the kitchen was the original fitted in 1966 when the property was built... as was everything else, electrics, radiators, bathroom, loft insulation.....it's been a lot of work but well worth it, and still very much a work in progress (just like Boba!) 😄

I have built this kit a while ago. It was a bit a slog. But with a bit of work can be very nice. I had issues galore with the white metal parts being deformed. Nice so far.

Album info

This figure was originally started in the mid 1990's, and like several others in my stash, it was put aside unfinished due to changing commitments in life.
Returning to the hobby in the summer of 2020, this Elfin vinyl figure kit was dug out the loft, dismantled and stripped. Originally this figure was started by brush painting using Humbrol enamels over a Halfords spray can grey undercoat, using video recording of Empire and Jedi on pause for reference. How things have changed!
I now have a copy of Star Wars Chronicles, and this combined with info from the 501st re-enactors group, I now have near perfect references to re-make this Boba Fett to match the original Empire Strikes Back 'Hero' costume configuration.
One area the figure lacked in was the battle damage of the armour. I marked out the various dents with a pencil, drilled starting point, then carved out gouges with a scalpel. These were then filled with milliput, and moulded to shape with the butt of a paintbrush, then smooth out with another brush and some water.
The figure was primed with Halfords primer again, and the addition of colour has begun using Tamiya acrylics with an airbrush, and at the time of writing this is still very much a work in progress.
