The parts trade I made is a Godsend: it included two spare cabs, so I don't have to break up the relatively valuable spare vintage kit if I screw up... I've roughed in a scale 3" chop on the cab, which is next to an unmodified one...now, I have to decide if I should give it a 3" sectioning too...the area to be removed is the blue tape...what do you think?
The other pic is a comparison of the original-style 8v-71T Detroit Diesel (8cyl single blower/single turbo) from the extra parts I tracked down, and the 12v-71tt (12cyl twin blower/twin turbo)...it's gonna take a bit of creative trickery to realistically get it into the engine compartment: it's considerably larger!
