Douglas Bader's Hurricane Mk.1
![Album image #1 Album image #1](/albums/img/3/1/4/968314-82465-60-720.jpg)
Probably one of the best Airfix mouldings I've had the pleasure to work on in a very long time
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/3/0/0/968300-82465-76-720.jpg)
Probably the worse colours purporting to be WW2 RAF greens and browns I've had the displeasure to use .. don't get what AMMO mig are thinking here!
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/2/9/9/968299-82465-19-720.jpg)
A bit of masking for the gun ports .. going for the after mission look, with the covers blown off!
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/3/0/1/968301-82465-12-720.jpg)
Lovely decals to complete the Douglas Bader look
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/3/1/2/968312-82465-63-720.jpg)
Decals applied, almost done ..
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/3/1/0/968310-82465-53-720.jpg)
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/2/9/8/968298-82465-23-720.jpg)
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/3/0/5/968305-82465-55-720.jpg)
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/3/0/4/968304-82465-67-720.jpg)
I may have overdone the weathering, but I think I was compensating for the AMMO mig colour scheme!
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/3/0/8/968308-82465-60-720.jpg)
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/3/0/2/968302-82465-25-720.jpg)
The finished article, with the mini Douglas Bader added, exiting the Hurricane after a dogfight to remember .. just look at that gun smoke staining !
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/3/0/3/968303-82465-18-720.jpg)
Douglas Bader exiting the Hurricane after a dogfight to remember .. just look at that gun smoke staining !
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/3/0/6/968306-82465-84-720.jpg)
Douglas Bader on a temporary airfield, exiting the Hurricane after another dogfight to remember .. again, just look at that gun smoke staining !
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/3/1/1/968311-82465-82-720.jpg)
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/3/1/3/968313-82465-76-720.jpg)
