Here's a look on the almost finished cockpit section. The instrument panel is from Yahu, the rest is mostly brush painted. It was quite difficult to find useful information about the colors so some areas might be wrong.
Hired a couple of workers to accelerate the preshading process. Both the RLM70 and 71 I have are way too dark so I'll add another layer of white mottling, hope that helps. Also I airbrushed the area where I want to add chipping effects later on with silver.
It turns out the RLM71 from Hataka is way too dark, even though I also preshaded the Stuka with random white mottling. The second paint, RLM70, also seems wrong - almost black - so there are still a lot of corrections to be done...
Accurate or not, I altered both color tones to my liking. As there will be quite some post shading and weathering, it's not final anyways. As you can see, masking the splinter camo also takes quite some effort!
It's finally done!
