This gap is so far the only issue with this build. Is it my fault or a kit, i am not sure either. Although the build done acc. instruction.

Album image #6
Continuation in build. Instruction indicates a lot of drilling. Not all of them are used for D5T version. Thus check with drawings/pictures.

This is the turret of later type for D5T version. Bear that in mind. For the early type turret with D5T, straight from the box does not suit. It has to be modified correspondingly. Check with drawings/pictures.

Some cleaning is required

Have been working on turret, creating cast texture and some most visible welding seems.

The turret with canon D-5T were in 3 versions. So check your prototype before building. This kit by Miniart represents the latest type with D-5T canon: later type "hooks"; no vision port on left side of turret; the cupola moved backwards; antenna port on top of turret; two ventilators' hoods and some more 🙂

This build is out of the box. Kit parts quality is nice.
However a bit I disslike the softness of Miniart's plastic.
You should take care cutting off the parts from sprues.

I think the problem with the crack at the back will be solved. And everything else looks great!
Kaip matau, gerai pasistūmėjai!

I found the same with the Miniart early panzer III's, definitely different plastic to Dragon and Tamiya but reckon they make fantastic kits.

The turret looks real. The casting texture produced very well, the turret looks really impressive! Interesting to see painted.

Some update. Been working on welding seams on the hull.
As well created the cast number on the turret.
This kit has no towing cable , thus has used one from Eureka. As well did the most time consuming work - has cleaned tracks!

New update of work done. Have decided to try to paint as tank would be still in the factory during assembly. Used various metallic from Tamiya and AMMO MIG.

Turret in green and decals in place. Used aftermarket decals. It turned out that a third pair of tactical number is missing. So I hand painted the number on the back of turret. Enjoy! p.s. Name on the turret is a Russian city name UFA. A donated tank to the front.

That's the way a T-34 should look like. Now, he deserves a little vignette. 🙂
