Calling this one done Marco Melandri's 04 Yamaha. Made a few mistakes along the way but always learning. Think I could do a few things better.
Model: Tamiya 1/12 Yamaha YZR-M1 '04
Primer: Mix UMP Grey and white
Paints: Fairings Tamiya LP-21 Italian red and LP-70 gloss Aluminium. Frame And swing arm LP-5 semi gloss black.
Clearcoat: Pro Range 2k
Numerous Lacquer and acrylics used elsewhere. Scratch built front brake reservoir, brake and clutch lines. Used clear tubing with green tubing inside. Fairing held on by magnets for easy removal.
Exhaust taped to make weld lines, then heat stained.
Hobby design rivets used on the fairings
Flatted and polished using micro mesh and UMP polishing system.
Decals went down well just seemed to take forever doing the main logos.
