it seems that with a little bit of sculpting, i will be able to graft the Trumpeter lower hull on the Tamiya upper hull. Trumpeter lower part is onlu like 1-2mm longer and slightly more narrow. Should be able to manage. May decide later to just use Trumpeter hull and put all the PE on that

Sehr schön, Woher hats du den PE-Satz für welches Geld?
Ansonsten gibt es den Unterrumpf für Tamiya auch im Dockset für die Fletcher.

Thank you Bjorn. I got the PE from ebay, they were about 20eur each.
I think the bottom hull part will work out pretty good and I managed to get a nice deal on the Trumpeter kits.

added pics of the five star set and some progress too. after much sanding, the hull is now quite nice. i will later mask some hull lines too but pe will go first. i am trying to add some walkway surface detail but i am not sure the result will reflect the effort. (masking and adding bit of putty using brush)

playing with the Bofors twin mounts. I like the etch base better but the barrels are better in the Modelbauray 3d print... Thinking about combining the two because why not haha
