Album info
Here are three photos of my oldest Spitfire, a Mk. Vb Trop built from Tamiya’s 1/48 scale kit.
I painted it using Xtracolour enamel paints of the RAF range: Dark Earth and Mid Stone over Azure Blue. I also painted the roundels using Montex masks instead of using decals.
The model received some detail enhancements – resin wheels from True Details nad exhausts from CMK.
The markings depict an aircraft from No.336 (Hellenic) Squadron in N.Africa flown by 2nd/Lt Georgios Tsotsos. On 24 April 1944, Tsotsos and F/Sgt Dimitrios Soufrilas shot down a Ju 88 south of Sidi Barrani.
