I really wanted a modern Trophy active defence Merkava IV in 1/72, so I cave in and ordered a reisin conversion set.... I guess I was a little dissapointed in quality of the mould. I had to patch holes where there was supposed to be reisin and cut reisin from where it wasn't supposed to be. Lower part of the turret, luckily not visible, has cracks and sections missing. Not the worst thing in the world, but still.
However, the ball chains look very nice. Cleaning them of flash was a nightmare and one ball was lost to the carpet monster when it broke off ( I lost only this one ball, luckily) and it's super flimsy now when it's asembled. Looks great, but not for touching.
I tried AMMO Mig antislip paste and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Looks super sketchy at first and you need to thin it down just a bit with water to get rid of visible binder glue then stipple it with a small-ish brush to break the binder, but once it's painted, the "sand texure particles" look prety great. It looses bit of an edge with 4 sprays of varnish tho, so be mindful of that.
The chain adds a nice touch, so does the nail aurora foil(aliexpress, 0.6€) for that multicolor prismatic effect on main optics.
Color is AK 3rd gen IDF Modern grey, weathered with AMMO prigments Golan earth and europe earth.
