@David: Yeah, and I really have to say this is not a bad kit considering its from 1988.
I wasnt in the mood for a WIP but theres a lot of modelers who conquered it before me and documented it.
The main trick is to deviate from the manual and glue the nose to the top half and the inlets and ducts first to the belly half before joining the whole donut, this is the main problem zone.
Ah and the beaver tail: also lower part to the lower half and the upper part to the upper half before joining

That's indeed some good advice to mitigate that risk of a step at the spine and having no access to the intakes after cementing them to the lower fuselage. Thanks Daniel! 👍
