Hi David, I don't want to be that guy but if you want to do the Royal Navy FG.1 I have to remind you that you need the slotted stabs. Which are not included in the Revell kit because that is the RAF FGR.2 kit. Also the nose gear leg of the FG.1 had two torque links(because it coulde be extended) instead of 1 for the FGR.2 which also isn't included in he Revell box..

No you're correct, and Thankyou for taking the time to comment and stop me making potential mess up, but I have spare stabilators from my academy f4c which used plain stabs and I'm working on the nose gear options atm probably get the SAC extended nose gear. 👍🏻😎. Alternatively I may try to scratch or borrow a link from another kit as the link is hardly visible between the front wheels

Good to hear that you had it figured out already! Definitely going to follow this one. Will you only start after January 1 when the group build starts? I'm not going to wait for that because I'm starting my British F-4 as soon as I can.

Erik, I have soooo many phantoms , and I've already started Rudolph , so yes, I'll probably wait for the new year or maybe the Xmas break.
On the up side I've decided just to throw money at it and bought the SAC landing gear 😆

The moulds are REALLY showing their age. Quite a bit of flash everywhere and surface detail , which was always a bit soft on the Hasegawa kit, disappears in places(notably the spine) this is going to be more work than expected.
