I quite liked the older, unusual national markings that this Czech biplane had, so I decided to build it; I don't know how good it true-to-original that the camouflage pattern will be, but I will try my best to fit it according to the instructions.
Then... I am not really sure what to do with all the excess Czech Air Force roundels that I soon end up with from this and other projects!
I have to admit that I really like that KP made a lot of models of Czech build planes; that's a pretty cool feature that I am a history lover really enjoy.
I have no real idea or purpose of this build other than it looks nice and cute - especially when comparing to a MiG-31 Foxhound - I mean, even the MiG-21 and MiG-31 has a huge size difference!
But I had started the kit and I didn't really want to start up anything new until I had finished some of the started projects. If my Letov will be finished they will look cool together.
The brown colour is made from Revell 382 with a few drops of Revell №9

Thank you; I was also amazed when I saw the shadow on the wall in the evening sun so I had to take that shot! I haven't seen it before it after that evening.
I would like to build some more Avias - those Czechs are quite cute, and I do have a thing for local builds.
A KP Spitfire IX? I must find such one! I really need a Mk IX for my Danish Armed Forces collection: Denmark got 39 of them from 1947 to 1949 - three was the unarmed reconnaissance variant. From 1951 they were slowly decommissioned as jets (beginning with the Meteor) arrived in RDAF. The last RDAF Spitfire ended it's service June 1st 1955.
I bought the kit because I want to build an Italian version 😉 It's quite simple but quite good. I have also a modern kit with decals for the Italian version🙂. You can look at them in my stash, if you can't find it let me know 😉
