USN Boxing Match

A boxing match onboard a ship in 1920 - my grandfather was Asiatic Fleet boxing champ in his weight class. This will be a gift for my mom. Because of the availability of crewmen in WW-II era uniforms and fatigues, and the dearth of availability for same in 1920 clothes, I'm going to build this as if it happened in WW-II - my mom won't know the difference, and this change gives me a lot of modeling flexibility.

The base is complete - a wooden deck (from a WW-II carrier deck kit), painted to highlight each individual board. The boxing arena will be made of laminated foam core boards, smoothed out with spackle. Not sure what I'll use for the ropes.
